Reopening Plans
We’re all working hard to get everything ready to reopen our doors at WT soon.
We’ve been talking to lots of people, including Shropshire Council, our landlords at the Furniture Scheme and our insurance company.
We’ve ordered signs, lots of hand sanitiser, cleaning materials and PPE.
We’ve had great ideas and feedback from our Member’s survey (keep them coming).
We’ve set a date, 20th July, when we will be able to open again. Initially it will only be for one or two members at a time and only for a few hours each day so we can all stay safe, but we’re super excited to be able to start getting back to Rockspring. Hurray!!
Fancy Dress Friday…
One of the things we have all been missing during lockdown is dressing up to go out. So, last Friday, we had a dressing up to stay in day – with a fancy dress animal theme!
Everyone got in to the spirit of things and there were some really fab costumes on show. Everyone agreed that it was a ‘roaring’ success…
Some special diary dates to look forward to…
Now we are able to go outside more we have some very special events planned – more details to follow, but make sure you have these dates saved: Tuesday 11th August, Tuesday 25th August and Tuesday 1st September!
A big thank you to AV Birch…
We’d like to say a big thank you to AV Birch from Bridgnorth who have donated 20 protective visors to Working Together to help us keep our staff and members safe.
AV Birch are usually busy making engineering equipment for the car, timber and railway industries, but have been making their AVisors to help support the workers in the health care sector during Covid-19.
James and Jan have been trying them on here at Rockspring as we work towards making WT Covid Safe. We think these are just the job!
Thanks again to everyone at AV Birch for your support and for helping to keep our staff and members safe.
NHS 72nd Birthday
Like lots of people all over the country, Thomas went out at 5pm on Sunday to say thank you to the NHS with a minutes applause on their 72nd birthday.
Thomas also wants to say that he is really proud of everyone through this difficult time and he hopes everyone keeps healthy and strong.
Thanks Thomas, we’re proud of everyone in the WT family too, for supporting each other during these difficult times.
We’re going on a digi-scavenger hunt…
Youth club and Diversity recently held an online scavenger hunt. Members had great fun seeking out and gathering all of the items on the list! Well done to everyone that took part!
Rachael’s Project

Last week was the 4th of July – when Americans celebrate their Independence Day.
Rachael has sent us this picture of herself working on her USA and Canada project. Hopefully, she will be able to bring it in to show us all very soon.
Good work Rachael!
