AGM 2021
Don’t forget to RSVP please…
We are holding this year’s AGM on Tuesday 23rd November at 6.30pm in the Baptist Church at Rockspring.
Everyone is invited, but Covid restrictions mean we need to manage how many people we have in the building. If you’d like to come please email: manager@workingtogetherludlow.co.uk or telephone: 01584 318925.
Hope to see you there!
AGM danceathon
Youth Club members will be holding a Children in Need Danceathon during the AGM.
Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes and your donations to join in and support this toe tapping initiative by our members!
Ten Pin Bowling Action…
We recently had some electrical testing done at Rockspring. We do this every year to make sure all of the appliances we use are checked and are safe.
With the equipment out of action we decided to go out for the day – ten pin bowling at the Grove was the unanimous choice and everyone had a fantastic time!
“Friends hanging out together in Ludlow”
Typed up by Dan
One Wednesday, I arranged to meet up with my good friends DJ & Joe in Ludlow. I used my independent skills and went on the train to Ludlow where DJ met me at the other end (Ludlow train station).
We then walked up to the Spar where we met up with Joe and went in to get a subway like we usually do. We all did well with managing our own money and made sure we got our change and receipt.
Then we went up on top of Whitcliffe overlooking Ludlow, had our delicious Subway and had a great catch up about what we’d all been doing over the last few weeks.
The weather stayed dry for us and as you can see from the picture above we are all wearing shorts (I know it was October but we didn’t care as we all enjoyed ourselves!)
Here are the comments that we all made during our time together in sunny Ludlow…
DJ “I’ve enjoyed eating my Subway lunch and enjoyed spending time with my friends Dan & Joe”.
Joe “Today I enjoyed seeing my 2 great friends Dan & DJ, having a Subway and having fun!”
Dan “I really enjoyed being with my good friends DJ & Joe today in Ludlow, I think it is great that we are able to meet up in person now with the Covid restrictions being eased and also having independence to travel on public transport to go and see my friends without support.
I’ve known both DJ & Joe for a long time now and I’ve got to say they are both really good friends and we’ve said if ever we feel worried or upset about something, we can talk to each other about our concerns”.
We will definitely do this again as we all had a good time and we really enjoyed ourselves!
What a great story and thanks to Dan, DJ and Joe for sharing their day with us.
If you have a story you’d like to tell us about, then why not send it in for the newsletter?

Lest we forget…
Last week, here at Working Together, we created a display to remember those who have died in wars around the world and held a two minute silence at 11am on Thursday (11th).
We also baked ANZAC biscuits – ANZAC biscuits were originally featured in care packages sent to Australian and New Zealand soldiers during WW1.
