When Molly came to visit…
Last week, Youth Club met Molly the dog and we learned about how to be a responsible dog owner.
We made (human-edible) dog biscuits in 3 different flavours to see which one Molly liked the best.
The flavours were peanut, tuna and oxo! Molly liked the raw dough and was quite full before we even got round to the doggy taste test, but we think she preferred the peanut flavour.
For those of us that don’t have a pet we made some doggy biscuit gift bags and labels to share with our friends or families dogs!
Grant help available for Shropshire residents…
Shropshire Council has cash grants available for people facing financial difficulties, especially low-paid working families with children, whose finances may have suffered due to the effects of Covid and are struggling to make ends meet.
They have made it easy to apply over the phone, so, if you, or someone you know, is having difficulty meeting essential outgoings, call 0345 678 9078.
Full details are available on the Working Together website too.
Test and Trace Support Payments
We still need to do all we can to make sure that anyone who is told by NHS Test and Trace Service to stay at home and self-isolate does so to prevent the spread of Covid and the £500 Test and Trace Support Payment is still available. To apply visit the Shropshire Council’s website
Other support may also be available and can be accessed by calling their Covid helpline on 0345 678 9028.
And they think it’s all over…
It is now… Euro 2020 in 2021 has finally ended with Italy winning the tournament, beating England in a thrilling penalty shootout.
Congratulations to Italy and commiserations to the England team. England did well to get through to the final and gave all the fans something to hope and cheer about. They played their very best.
To recognise Italy’s win we’ve had an Italian themed week:
