The BIG Rockspring Community Garden Tidy Up…
WOW… a massive thank you to everyone who came to help with our garden tidy at Rockspring on Saturday!
We can’t believe how much was achieved in such a short space of time and how much tidier everything looks now. It was great to catch-up with members, families, volunteers, supporters and the trustees who were able to come along to help out. Cake was eaten and oodles of rhubarb was taken home to enjoy.
Following popular demand, we might arrange another Saturday morning session next month – so if you want to join in watch this space!
Thanks again to the helpers on the day and to Nick, our regular stalwart community gardener, who’s doing a great job digging over all the beds.
Attending Day Services
Last week, as part of their ‘Moving out of Lockdown’ guidance, Shropshire Council announced a change to the advice on members being able to attend more than one day service.
Going forward, members will be able to attend different day services without the need to self-isolate between attending each one.
In line with the new guidance, we’ve been working hard on our risk assessments to ensure measures are in place to keep members and staff safe and prevent the spread of Covid.
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to get in touch.
The 2m social distancing rules remain in place, masks should still be worn when applicable, frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitisers are still very important too.
Regular Covid testing is now available, and we are advising members to follow the latest government guidance and test twice a week if possible using the really simple Lateral Flow Tests.
Free testing kits are available from WT and we are happy to provide support for members to test at home, including any support with registering test results on the government website.
A Perfect Pizza Presentation
Writers’ Club have finished their perfect pizzas project and created a presentation about their work.
Members imagined what their perfect pizza would be like, designed it on paper, cooked it for real – and then ate it…..yum, yum!
As well as planning out their meal on paper, members have also been looking at some of the ingredients they chose in more detail— drawing and painting them as part of the display.
