SOME GREAT NEWS!
WT supporters Emily and Alistair are running in the virtual Great North Run to help raise funds for us.
There’s still time to sponsor them. You can do so through our Facebook page, or click:
Good luck and thank you from all of us here at WT.
It’s been a busy week at Rockspring
Our newest member, Ben, has been helping the gardening team put the cardboard down on the vegetable beds in the Rockspring Community Garden.
The cardboard should stop the weeds growing and will help keep the beds in good condition and ready for planting in the Spring. We’re also hoping to put some manure down on top of the cardboard, which will help to fertilise the soil too.
The team has done a fab job, with help from Nicola and volunteer Neil, and we’re all looking forward to working with the Community Gardeners in the Spring to get the garden up and running in 2021.
We’ve been digging over one of the raised beds so that we can plant winter vegetables; picked chillies and tomatoes from our greenhouses; made cinnamon swirls and Tom hung out the washing to dry too…
THE RULE OF SIX

New Government Guidelines Good news…
Shropshire Youth Association has confirmed that under the new ‘rule of six’ guidelines youth work has been classified as essential. This means that Youth Club can start again soon.
Sammy, Jan and Di have been working hard to look at how Youth Club can begin meeting again in a Covid Safe way.
It’s likely that groups will need to be smaller and each group may meet every other week.
Based on our experience of when we reopened our doors at Rockspring and the success of the recent Tuesday evening barbeques we are confident we can find a system that allows Youth Club to meet again whilst keeping everyone, members, volunteers and staff Covid Safe.
