National Volunteers’ Week
Thank you to all of our volunteers… This week is National Volunteers’ Week – an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make in the UK through volunteering.
Working Together is a big family and it takes lots of different people to keep the organisation running. We definitely wouldn’t be able to offer such a wonderfully broad range of activities and support to our Members without the contribution made by our fantastic volunteers!
So, on behalf of the Members, Staff and Trustees, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers – for your time and commitment to Working Together – we really, really appreciate it.
Once our doors are open again, and it’s safe to do so, we’d like to invite all our volunteers – past and present – to join us at Rockspring to celebrate everything that makes the Working Together family so special and to say thank you for all your support.
We are continuing to review the government’s advice and are making plans for the time when it will be safe us to re-open our doors again. It may take sometime to get everyone together again but we’re really looking forward to that day.
The Travels of Thomas’ Trike
Lockdown hasn’t been all bad, for those able to get out and exercise the quieter roads have been a bonus for both walkers and cyclists.
We’ve heard about some of the things our Members have been doing including Tim’s trip out to Ludlow to return Thomas’ trike that had been left at Tim’s house since before the lockdown started.
Here are some pictures of the adventure…
Needless to say, Thomas was very pleased at the return of his trike and Tim, Thomas and Patrick took advantage of the quiet roads for some top three wheeler action!
Chloe’s Cheery Poem
Things that make me happy and give me joy are
Listening to my favourite music and dancing in my garden
Little Mix, making cakes, best friends and my dad making me laugh
Watching Gavin and Stacey, eating food with my mum and dad
Love my cakes, fashion and make up
I love my cats, my nieces and nephews
My sisters, my boss Fiona, working together and sport
I love walking through the woods.
Thanks to Chloe and Claire for sharing their lovely work. I think that’s now two editions in a row that we’ve had a mention of Little Mix!
Colouring by Claire
Colouring in is supposed to be a very relaxing activity and Claire has definitely done a fab job with some of these beautiful pictures she’s shared with us…
