New Covid isolation rules
The government has made changes to the guidance on self-isolating if you have had a close contact with a Covid positive person.
It is no longer a requirement for people who are double jabbed or aged under 18 to self-isolate if identified as having a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case.
Advice for health and social care is different and all of our staff and volunteers will still be taking a PCR test before coming into Rockspring if they have a positive close contact.
This new advice covers staff not members, but we ask that you please contact us to discuss the situation before attending Rockspring if you have had close contact with a Covid positive person.
Thank you
The Working Together Olympic Games
After watching all of the excitement at the Tokyo Olympic Games, we decided to hold our own mini-Olympics here at Working Together…
Thomas caried the WT Olympic Torch and Sarah explained the rules before the Games started…
The results from the obstacle course: Rachael beat James and Chloe defeated Nigel. All good fun!
Well-done everyone!
A sense of Summer – A Writers’ Club Special
Senses of Summer by Julian
I touch the trees and water and long grass
And I see people and birds and airplanes
flying in the sky
And see sheep and cows
And taste ice-cream and drinks, Jack Daniels,
and barbeques.
Senses of Summer by Daniel, with Becky
I touch the sand between my toes as
I relax in my swimming trunks
The cold glass of ginger beer smells refreshing
I see the sunshine gleaming over the people.
Senses of Summer by Rachael
I touch my bucket and spade with my sandcastles in the sand
I smell the fresh air in my wheelchair
I see the sea crashing on the sandy edge, overlapping
I taste the ice-cream with my ninety-nine flake
I hear the seagulls honking and squawking
With the heat of the sun beaming down on me
Sitting in my sun lounger with a good book and a flask.
Sewing Bee
Is back & buzzing… More next week
