Almost Weekly News No. 29 – 23/12/2020
Breaking up for Christmas…
Last week was our final week at Rockspring for 2020.
We wish everyone a happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again in 2021 – whether that’s in person or over Zoom.
Here’s just a few pictures from last week’s fun…
Thank you to Steph
A big thank you to Steph for knitting Neil a woolly hat to keep him w arm as he sets off on his Everest challenge – to ride his bike up High Vinnals 38 times, which is equivalent to the height of Mt Everest 29,000ft – to raise money for Working Together!
Thanks again Neil. You can still sponsor him on his Just Giving page.
Thank you Sam…
Dear members, volunteers, staff and supporters of all kinds.
I think we all enjoyed the AGM, and among the faces sitting quietly was Sam Hine!
I would like to say to everyone that Working Together would not exist at all if it wasn’t for Sam’s very hard work and determination, supporting the charity for years and years.
She was already involved, supporting Richard Geuter when required when I joined the team in 2005, and she has had a place in her heart for the charity ever since.
She has obtained excellent funding for various projects over the years, and helped get training for us, and been in the background giving support to Richard over the years.
Then when Nicola took over from Richard to save WT from closing, Sam stepped in to support Nicola and they worked brilliantly as a team, and have managed to shape the great Working Together you have today.
THANK YOU SAM!
Best wishes to you all and stay safe.
Clare Currant
We plan to reopen on Monday 4th January 2021
